Left Wing Riveting.... - 4.0 hrs

Back to riviting the left bottom skin of the wing. Its slow going trying to reach thru these holes to reach across the wing. When I built the table it was nice having it up high but the other work on it but now on the skins it would be better if it was lower. O well you can't have everything.

Had to take my time with riveting the Pitot Tube stiffener and getting it attached to the spar and working around the alum tube. But I got it done. Even got Derek to shot a few for me while I bucked them from the inside on some far reaches. Good thing I have my small Tungston bucking bar. This thing was really worth it. I bet you could build a entire plane with this one bar. Before I closed out each bay I used a mirror and flashlight to recheck my rivets. Had to reset a few but no drillouts. I think I will be cruising thru the RV8 next time!

I also did a bit more cleanup on the nose gear wheel pant. The primer really shows the imperfections and there was still a bit of a seam showing so I knocked that down with my new Perma Grit tool.
