Fuselage September 2006 Updates

Reamer is in.... - 4.0 hrs

I got home last night from South Carolina. We left to come back to Houston right before Hurricane Ernesto showed up. When I got home and opened the garage the door hung on a piece of wood which in turn hungup on one of my parts shelves. As the door came up it flipped the shelf over and dumped airplane parts all over. Nothing was damaged but then I noticed that the door was pulled off the rollers. Very lucky nothing got damaged. I thought it was going to fall on the fuselage. John was nice enough to come over and help me move the fuse to the back of the garage since we could not move it out of the garage.

Jeff B was nice enough to send me a reamer to ream out the landing gear and weldments. It came today so now I can get back to work once the door is fixed. I had to leave the door open half way overnight. Kind of scary. Now that the door is fixed Harley Dave stopped by and helped me move the fuse on the stand back into working position. Amazing what a few cold beers will get you when you call Harley!

While I was waiting for Dave I primed the front spar covers and flap motor channels.
