Forward Panel Stucture.... - 4.0 hrs

Today started out at Jim Kiloh's hangar for his first engine start. We tried a few weeks ago but had no success due to a gummed up carb. Today was sucessful and the engine started right up and purred like a kitten. But we could not shut down with the mixture control. Well off comes the carb again to get that fixed. I be next time will be 3rd times a charm. Once I get the video thing figured out I will put a link to the engine running here.

Jon came back over to my hangar to work somemore on my plane next. Today we planned on getting the forward subpanel riveted in place. Once this is done we can mount the panel to start running the electrical system.

I started by clecoing everything in place. While I was working on that Jon fabbed up a stainless plug for a hole I had drilled in the firewall when I thought I was going with a carb engine. When I switched to fuel injection I had to nix the gascolator which left a hole that was unneeded. Anyway we teamed up on the rivet gun bucking thing and a few hours later we had it all complete.
