Tubing Flares.... - 7.0 hrs

Wow... where do I start? Today was going to be a full day to get stuff done on the plane. My buddy Jon came to help and thats always a good thing.

To start things off I wanted to get the brakelines cut a bit shorter to allow the fuel line up the center better room. I had already cut the excess off and asked Jon if he could start with those to flares in the tubing and I would start on something else.

And then when I saw his flare I thought o wow.... mine don't look like that. Turns out my tool was messed up. Dru brought his down and we got them done correctly. I then started working on the vent lines and reflared them as well. Needless to say alot of wasted time to redo something that I thought was complete but its better to be done correctly. Jon made this cool bracket to hold the brakelines to the firewall bracket. Thanks again Jon!

The last thing was to rivet the hole in the center of the firewall and seal it with Permatex. Still need to seal the corners but its basically done.
