More Flap Motor Assembly - 2 hrs

Today I mocked up the fabed parts inside the flap motor channel. I had to tweak one of the parts I made for it to fit. A bit of work on the grinder and it fits like a champ.

The bolt that holds the flap motor in place in the channel is too long. This bolt was in the little brown bag with the other flap motor parts. Doesn't mean crap though as I have had this issue before. This means more digging to find the correct bolt.

Moved on to the flap acuator weldment. I dry fit the side bearings. This are made of delrin and they are a bitch to drill thru. You would think they would be like butter but its not. I think it starts grabbing the bit and even melts a bit. Anyway I will need to drill the center bearing and then cut it in half to enable the weldment to fit over it. You can see the rusted area on the center of the weldment where this bearing will sit over it.
