Misc Stuff.... - 3.0 hrs

One of the things I wanted to test today was the indicator panel. I had not tested since sending back to Control Vision. Once hooked up it worked like a champ. The other thing I wanted to test was the LED strip for above the instrument panel.

Turns out the reastat on the indicator panel will contol the LED light strip without a seperate power source. There is a connector on te EXP2Bus for power and the other to ground and presto. We have lights. Turn the knob and it goes from bright to dim.

Next I drilled the Pro G Hub base plate to the mounting bracket I fabbed up. I am using AN3 bolts to hold it in place. I used 4 rubber grommets to shock mount it to minimze the vibration factor. Came out nice. Next I will drill the bolts in the bent tab and mount it to the back of the firewall.

Also painted the corners of the panel frame with the wrinkle finish paint. This will give a complete black non-glare look with the vents showing thru with the brushed raw look.
