Fuselage October 2005 Updates October 2, 2005 Longerons - 1 hrs Well I have been putting this off long enough. Time to get to bending the left and right longeron angles. I cut the bending template away from the plansheet. Next I taped it to a piece of corigated board for stiffness. Measured the longerons to 173 and 7/16. Cut them to length with the cutoff saw. Then I Marked the bend start and stop points. This is kind of nerveracking because they are so long it makes you feel like you are going to screw them up. I just followed the plans and measured and marked and then did it again. Next I need to cut a notch in the back ends and then git to bending. This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
