Fuselage March 2006 Updates

More Drilling - 2 hrs

Time to get this firewall done. I checked and rechecked the steel brackets for flush and tightness to the longerons and then proceeded to remove the 470 rivets and drilled thru the existing holes into the steel braces.

Next I match drilled both sides of the firewall flange using the sideskin holes for alignment. Again using lots of biolube.... you know how I feel about stainless.

While I was doing all of this my buddy Jeff Bordelon pinged me on Yahoo to burn in the NAV lights I bought from him. So I hooked them up to the battery and let them run for about an hour and a half. I had to take another picture of them all lit up. These are going to work out great. I can't wait to install them in the wing tips.
