Joining the Center and Aft Fuse - 4 hrs

The trip to Austin has got me all fired back up to make some big progress. Its time to get the center and aft fuselage connected.

First off I have to get the garage setup different for this big thing to fit with the firewall installed. I talked Kim into helping me get the saw horses moved and into position so I could add 2 more in the front to enable all of this to be connected. Also had to cut up some 2 x 4's and 1 x 4's to make a frame on the front saw horses similar to the back 2 I had been using for just the aft fuse.

Once this was setup we set the aft section in place and then added the center section. Next we put the left and right longerons in place and pulled the side skins back just enough slip them in position. Now I just need to study the plans a bit more to get the right skin to bulkhead position for the center to aft rivet lines and then get the side skins in place for match drilling!
