Firewall..... - 2.0 hrs

Going to need help moving the center section off the saw horses. Until then I decided to move on to finishing the heat valve on the firewall. I fabed up a backing plate for the cabin heat valve. To make sure this thing sits nice and flush and seals good it seemed best to rivet this in place.

This required flush rivets on the firwall side for the heat valve to sit flush against a smooth surface. I marked 5 rivet locations and drilled to #40. Next I removed the backing plate and counter sunk for #40 rivets. Then I made a 2 x 4 to hold one side of the rivet set. While holding in place on each of the rivet holes I used a hammer to pound each dimple in place.

Last I used the flush rivet set to complete each rivet. Came out perfect and now ready to move on to the longerons.
