Magnatometer... - 2.0 hrs

Stopped at Sears this morning and picked up some brass screws for the magnatometer. Stopped at HarborFreight to pick up an angle drill thats on sale. You know you can't go to a tool store and just get what ya went there for. I found these great super long needlenose for only 9 bucks. And of course this other back was 19 for 6 so I had to do that.

Anyway looking at the Avionics tray some more I was thinking about making a 2 brackets out of .063 to hold the trays together. I duct taped them as one unit and put a few test screws in place and will take them home and check to make sure the radios fit in flush. Then I cut 2 stips for the side brackets. If everything slides in right I will finish fabing up these brackets and get them screwed in place. Sure is nice building out at the airport with all the airplane noises going on and listening for the occasional "low approach". I wish more RV's would come in. Jon has to depart with Tango Tango tomorrow so I guess I had my last ride back in June! Sniff...sniff... o well gotta keep on trucking with this bird.

Also installed the tube in the front wheel again. I pinched the first tube in between the 2 wheel halves and popped it. This time once I got it started together I aired it up partially and removed the valve core. I aired it up some and then let the air out several times. Last I put the core back in and left it with just enough air to hold shape. I will remove the core again later and then push the tube back in place one more time before completely bolting together. This wheel is a bitch its so small.
