Gussets.... - 2.0 hrs
I figured I would knock out all of these little gussets so when I prime and rivet it will flow. First I clecoed the ones that the seat belts attach to. The next ones go behind the 706 and 707 bulkheads. These bulkheads are still very flimsy above the longeron line. At first I thought I could just pull the gussets back in line with the longeron and sideskin edge but I noticed when you do that it would move the bulkhead slightly off line. So in order to make sure I kept the rivet line straight for the top skins I figured I would cleco the forward top skin in place. Sure enough I was right. By just pulling back these gussets in line with the edge it would of been off line just enough to pull it off the rivet line slightly. I will just pull these back a bit in line with the edge and drill these in place with the skin on and that will do the trick.
I went ahead and chucked up a big bit for the 5A bolts on the seat belt gussets and drilled and clecoed. Hopefully I can finish up these gussets tomorrow for priming. Once these are in place and riveted the fuse should be good and stiff and square.
