Fun Day!..... - 0.0 hrs

Today was a fun day. Jon B. invited me out to get some stick time in his 6A. He needed to burn some fuel out of the right tank to fix a leaky purge valve. We started out flying up to Lake Livingston but the cloud deck was pretty solid at and below 1000 so we headed back over to Brenham for a few touch and goes. Jon said his landings were pretty bad lately and then wouldn't you know it, he greased them in. I should of seen that coming right!

When we got back we uncowled the engine and jacked up the leftside to get the fuel to the outside of the tank. Jon removed the valve and put some permatex gasket goop on there and then changed the oil. I should have taken some pictures. The plane looks great for our trip to Oshkosh.

After that it was out to West Houston to help Phil put his wings on. I got some pictures of this process. This kind of stuff is a real motivator seeing a plane get this close to flying. I even got a few pics of Derek peeling the plastic off. Phil's plane is really close now. He should be flying within the next month. Way to go PHIL!
