More Panel Work.... - 2.0 hrs

Jon needed some fiberglass epoxy so I met him at the hangar to give it to him. I worked some more on the panel. First I cut the side rails to mount inside the frame which will hold the avionics trays. Again one tray is wider than the other 2 so I will need to figure out the layout before I drill in place. The frame cutout is exactly the width of the transponder and the radio. Too bad the com panel is wider. Also marked a general spot where the Sl40 will pass thru the subpanel.

Anyway I removed it and did some more grinding on brackets that mount next to the vents. I finally got these to fit around the vents right but I drilled to the fuse before I had the vents so the thickness of the panel frame, vent and plastic back tube that holds the hose to the NACA vent is pretty thick. I think I will need to remake these. At least I can use these as templates for the new ones.

Last I fabed up the last 2 pieces to hold the panel frame along the top edge of the canopy decks. I ordered some more 32 gauge angle from Van's. Time to work on something else until that shows up in the mail.
