Affordable Panel & Throttle Quad.... - 2.0 hrs

It's supposed to rain all day, so much for the 4th of July pool party. Stopped by the hangar to check how the avionics trays are going to fit in the panel. I set them in from the top of the panel frame. With the 296 GPS in there it pretty much fills the stack up. I am going with the AirGizmo and the angle bracket to get the best view from the pilot seat. Next I will add the angle strips on the left and right side of the frame. Should fit nicely.

After I got back home I got to thinking about the throttle quadrant and decided I should figure out where that was going to set at the bottom of the panel frame. I am going to follow Dave Parsons setup. I had already picked up some square tube when I saw his setup but I think it will work. I can always switch it out with 3/4 angle like he did if this does not look good. He did a tip up canopy so I have a different subpanel to work with. I went ahead and cut the tube length and clamped it in place to see how it looks.

Well with the rain out it was time for plan B. We are heading over to the Mann's for dinner and Brewskis!
