I thought about this circuit some more and figured out that I had to be loosing power due to grabbing power for the flasher off the switch instead of a source.

Went to the hangar this morning and tested the theory with the volage meter. Yep that was it.

Made up another power wire and grabbed the power to the side that stays alive when the taxi switch is on. Works perfect now. Need to let the glue dry somemore on the flasher before I install on the subpanel. Time to head to the airport for Florida. Back tomorrow!
