Brake Lines and Misc.... - 2.0 hrs

Tonight I brought the radios for one last fit to check how they look with the GPS. I was thinking I may need to lower the bottom 3 trays but it turns out great.

Next I fabed up the copper strip to connect the power and starter solenoids. There is a slight offset with these 2 pieces so it requires for the holes to be drilled with a slight bend on each end to match up.

Now it was time to quit putting off these last 2 brakelines. I started with the left side. I straighted out a piece of the 1/4 inch tubing coil and pushed it in from the open side towards the floor fitting. As it moved into the area of the gear weldment I bent it up slightly to go threw the hole over the one the flex fuel like went thru. This allowed a larger upper bend radius which I thought would allow a better chance of not getting kink in it. This worked well. It was tight getting the flare tool in there but I was able to do it.

Last I bent the tube into the center area allowing it to flow under the fuel lines and valves and worked it towards the firewall and over to the firewall fitting. Installed the last flare and installed a piece of plastic tubing to prevent chafing where it passes over alum angle. It's DONE! Getting late so I will get the right side next time.
