Fuselage August 2006 Updates
August 8, 2006
More work on Steps.... - 2.0 hrs

First I removed the left side step and deburred once more since the #30 drill out. Scotchbrighted and cleaned up for priming. Reinstalled to see if the delrin would slide in easy. Just as I thought it wouldnt. Removed the delrin and once painted and reinstall for riveting I will slide it on the step pipe first.

Next I started on the right side step. This one is going much faster as usual when you do something for the second time. I can't wait to build my next plane!!! Just think how much faster it will go not being scared to do things. Anyway I used the diecutter again to cut the back edge and then used the grinder to clean up. Last I marked up the rivet grid and center punched the rivet holes.

Drill it tomorrow and prime and paint. Hopefully riveting will be a nonevent.
