More work on Steps.... - 3.0 hrs

Well the more I look at this the I am going to have to live with the gap so time to move on. I started by triming the rear flange with a diecutter. Rounded the edges on the scotchbrite wheel and filed all of the rough edges off.

Next I drilled the delrin blocks per the plans. I marked a line on the fuse with the existing rivets in the bagage bulkhead and marked then drilled the step plate according. I started with #40 pilot holes then final drilled to 30.

With the step clecoed in place I drilled the delrin block to the baggage floor rib. This really is where the step gets its stiffness. Should be ready to prime and paint the step before riveting in place.
