Fuselage August 2006 Updates
August 1, 2006
More work on Steps.... - 2.0 hrs

I wanted to try to figure out if I could get more of the bottom gap out of the step flange. I enlarged the hole in the baggage rib to allow the flange to sit more flush with the side skin.

Still going to have a big gap. It is all underneath and does not seem to be a structural issue. I called Vans and they said I could leave it or fill it in with bondo or something like that. I will enlarge the hole a bit more before I start drilling rivet holes. Also I will try grinding some of the back flange area away on the bottom corner that I stated bending.

Also Dave stopped by to see the rotating stand. That's him in the pink shirt. What a man huh...... I took some more pics of the fuse rotated in several pics. Sure is coming in nice to work in without having to climb in or bend over.
