Flying Day

Well this weekend was awesome weather. Saturday was perfect. Lower 70's, no humidity, not a cloud in the sky. Some folks from work were going to tandum skydive out a Skydive Houston. So I went out to take pictures. After seeing how the plane comes down after the last jumper exits the plane I decieded I needed to go up as an observer. The pilot told me we were going to come down very fast like 6000 feet per minute. That was an understatement. Better than any amusement park ride. Way cool. Next time I think I will jump.

Sunday was another great day so I rented a Warrior since the Archer I usually get was taken and Kim and I flew up to Brenham. The have a great little diner at the airport. Plus the best part. Usually RV's showup!!1

As we were taking off from EYQ Weiser an awesome RV landed. When we got back it was still there so I took some great shots of it. Gus Aquirre from Victoria is the builder and it was outstanding. I looked him up on the web and it appears that the paint job he has now is very recent.

Now for the best part. Jon Baker was out at his hanger working on his plane and offered to take me up in N883TT. Now guess how long it took me to say YES! Now this was my first RV ride and I can only tell you that it is just like everyone says. AWESOME. The bubble canopy gives you such a great view and perspective. What a great flying plane. Jon has built a beautiful and great flying plane. I can't thank him enough for making my first experience in an RV so memorable. Thanks again Jon.
