Finish Kit Update September 2011 Updates September 25, 2011 Replaced Resistor for LED NAV Lights and Marker Beacon Antena..... - 4.0 hrs Today I repeated the process on the right wingtip. As usual this side went faster. Then it was time to mount the antenna for the marker beacon. I actually made the antenna along time ago so I don't remember how long it is but its just a piece of coax with a certatin length of the sheath peeled off. I laid it in the bottom of the tip and used duck tape to hold in place. I took it home to mix up some fiberglass to hold it in place. Next I installed a female BnC connector on the wing side. Once the fiberglass sets up I will mount the male side to the tip end. When I got home I cut 8 pieces of glass and wet it down with epoxy. I laid these pieces in the gaps between the duck tape. Once it setup I removed the duck tape. Now this tip is ready to go back on. This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
