Fuel Lines and Pump Test..... - 3.0 hrs

I installed the stainless fuel lines from the connections inside the plane. Used the Koul Tool to install the fittings on the outside since they wont fit through the rubber grommets once the fitting is on. This tool makes this job go much easier.

I mesaured the wing fitting from the outer most bolt hole in the wing spare. Looked to be about 5 to 6 inches. I left that much of the stainless outside the fuselage and then with the fitting that should fit nicely with a bit to spare.

Once these 2 fittings were on I made up 3 flared fittings and slide rubber hose over them with tie wraps and used a bulkhead fitting to drop the hoses into a 5 gallon fuel can. I took the fuel line going from the Red Cube fuel flow sender down to an empty can. I filled up one 5 gallon can to use at one side of the fuse to simulate the wing tank.

When I first turned the pump on nothing came out. I lifted up the can and it started sucking fuel right away. I switched the tank selector and moved the fuel to the other side and bingo it worked great. Checked for leaks and all looks good.

I will need to remove one more time to make sure fuel lines and wires in the center channel are not rubbing on anything and install and retest. Should be good to go after that. I terminated the fuel lines with caps to keep bad stuff out of the lines.
