P-Lead & Fuel Pump Work..... - 3.0 hrs

Pulled out of the driveway to head to the hangar and the Boyscouts had paid a visit to install my flag. Suddenly hit me it was 9/11. I remember exactly that day pulling up to my office at Compaq Computer and hearing on the radio that a small plane had crashed into one of the World Trade Center buildings in New York. Things would never be the same after.

Got to the hangar and opened up the doors and started the fans. All 3 and its still over 90 already. Finished up the P-lead on the right mag and installed it. Then it was back to that pesky fuel pump.

It was time to go back into the small area under the panel. O well.... I pulled out the carpet and installed the pump. Still going to be tight in the front so I trimmed the bottom of the little box that covers the pump. No one will ever see this and it will be hidden by the front carpet area anyway. This will assure no vibration on the bend in the tube which would surely cause a problem down the road.

Next I drilled 3 holes in the panel braces to pass the auto pilot harness across the front. These wires will need to be routed down the right side and passed thru the wing spar channel to get out to the servo in the right wing. I installed grommets to eliminate chaffing. Now just need to figure out the best route down the side.
