Bottom Cowl Bracket & Fuel Pump Work..... - 7.0 hrs

Time for another fabrication project. This consisted of 5 parts that had to be laid out and drilled and bent to fit. Also since I am using a non standard cowl without the snorkle the piece you bend to screw into the gear leg does not work per the plans. Arrrrg!

Anyway I got the parts drilled, preped and primed. Next was to rivet them together. Still need to figure away to mount to the gear leg. This is just another A model problem. The tail wheel biggots will just say if you had the wheel on the tail you wouldn't have that problem.

Once that was complete Jim showed up with his tubing bender. I was going to bend another piece of tube to fix my pump issue. I looked around my fittings box and found this 45 degree connector and this combined with the new bend in the tubing should fix the problem. We will see.

Now off to research how others have attached thier cowls with the smooth bottom!
