Wing Tip Lens Install..... - 2.0 hrs

Went to the hangar and picked up the parts and tools. Clecos, rivet gun, bucking bar, deburring tool, drill bits, cleco plyers, #6 platenuts, #6 screws and washers.

First I drilled the holes on each side of the lens thru the lens and wing tip. Removed the lens and enlarged the center hole to #21. Deburred to a nice counter sink for the rivets and then installed the platenuts. I had to remove the lights again to allow access for the bucking bar but I could see that was an accident waiting to happen.

Better to take the time to remove them instead of bending some screws on the lights. Next I counter sunk the lens for the recessed washers and then put it all back together.

Repeated for the other tip and then hooked up a power source to test. Came out nice!
