Wing tips, flaps and more wing bolts ..... - 4.0 hrs

Well another day of moving a wing bolt less than a quarter inch. Anyway I removed the flaps one last time to cut a hinge loop off and then installed the aileron jig to hold the left side in the neutral position. With this setup I reinstalled the flaps and put them in alignment with the aileron.

Next it was time to sand the edge of the left wing tip to match the distance of the last wing rib to the edge of the wing skin. I decided to go with screws to save time but this is still a slow process. Anyway I got a starting fit and made the first cut with the dremel tool to get the proper clearance for the aileron gap.

Couldn't get any pics with the wing tip in place since I only had 2 hands but its close now. I was almost ready to drill my first cleco hole and then I noticed on the bottom that I will need to sand some more on the bottom edge. There is a difference in the edge distance from the top and bottom. Crazy stuff.

The only pics for today is the aileron locked and tapped in the neutral position and the first wing tip cut with the trailing tip set in position. Still alot of work here.
