Gary's Car Lifts.... - 0.0 hrs

My hangar neighbor secured 2 car lifts for his hangar. So we had to put them together. Man was this a job for January and not in the heat of the summer in Houston Texas! And man is this stuff heavy. We also secured the help of Mike and Harley Dave.

On Friday night we got the main posts up in the air and slide the drive on portion into position. When I showed up on Saturday Gary had secured an engine hoist from Clyde and some chain. So Gary and I started to figure out how the Egyptians built the Pyrmids.... and it was not easy.

Lee showed up after work and then Harley Dave showed up. Things got better with more bodies but at that point Gary and I were pretty baked. I drank over a gallon of water and never had to pee.... guess where that water went. HA!

Anyway by the end of the day we had the front posts bolted to the floor and very heavy drive on portion mounted in place. Now Gary just has to run cables and mount the motor and fill it with 12 quarts of hydraulic fluid and he should be pretty close.
