Houston RV Builders Group Meeting...... - 0.0 hrs

Today was our monthly meeting of the Houston area RV builders group and it was hosted by Phil Perry at his house to see his RV10 project.

Jim K was flying and invited me along. He picked me up at Weiser at 10am. Our goal was to be at Williams Field by 11am. We fired up and was ready to taxi and a familiar voice came over the COM radio. He was in the pattern.... it was John Bixby the famous RV builder and pilot. He said since we had fired up he would just stay in high cover until we got up.

Once we took off and turned downwind John caught up and joined on our right wing and followed us over. Once on the ground at Williams we met up with Paul and Louise Dye and Dennis. Phil had left us his truck at the airport with a map and iced down water. What a host eh!

Turned out to be a nice visit of a great RV10 project and burgers and dogs for lunch. At the end Phil dropped us back to the airport where we flew back to Weiser to drop me off. I snapped the pictures above of Jim and his plane. Mine almost looks like a clone of his. I need to get this finished up so we can start flying 2 and three ship to these get togethers.
