May 16th 2004 is when all this started. Today marks 7 years of building on N754RV. We are getting close to flight now finally.
Today I got to the hangar and did a complete wipe down in the FWF area to make sure any oil left over from other starts was clean and dry. Gary and Lee were over at their hangar so I asked them to help monitor the process.
I pulled it out of the hangar and put it in the grass area in front and to the right of my hangar. Climbed in and gave it a start. I fired right up and I pulled the throttle all the way back. Getting a lower RPM now after the final adjustments to the throttle cable.
Total time was just over nine minutes. Oil pressure looked great. CHT numbers were just under 300 at the end of the run. EGTs were all under 1100. Did a runup with mag check and prop cycle. Oil leaks all checked out dry.
Then I shot some pics as the sun was going down. Gary and Lee did a little celebration jig at the end.
