AOA switch and AOA Ports ..... - 10.0 hrs

This is another update for the weekend. Got alot done but very tedius work.

I had to take a different route on the flap switch. Instead of putting in the flap motor enclosure area I moved it the outside area on the right side of the plane. There is another bar that goes up and down which pushes the flap down and I found a way to mount my bracket on that bar and mount the switch on a brace behind the seatback area.

I had to make another bracket to offset the tube I made but it works now. I forgot to take a picture of the final setup before I put the cover on. I have to remove the cover to enlarge the flap rod hole in the bottom of the fuselage so I will take it this weekend.

The other major thing I accomplished is removing the left wingtip for the last time and installing the AOA ports. I used #30 dimple dies to dimple for the #6 screws like Dave P did. Worked great. I used proseal to seal the ports and then installed the tubing and put the wingtip on for the last time.

I also figured out my mag wiring problem. My left mag was crimped wrong on the key switch. After redoing and checking with the meter I found the problem and redid the chrimp. Now the mags are ready to time.
