More Cowl Work ..... - 10.0 hrs

Ok its not how it looks here. There has been alot of work going on but in bits and spurts. On top of that I lost power at the hangar and found out today that i will be most likely another week. In any event I have some pics to post today to end out the month.

I have working on the cowl at the house and have finally given up on getting rid of all the pin holes. This thing needs to fly and I am going to just leave it up to the painter when the hours are flown off. With the new camlocks I added it fits good and tight. All I have left is to add the rubber strips on the inlets to seal off the baffles. Last weekend Harley Dave came up and we installed the cowls and did an engine run and the temps are very even and leveled around 300 during the run with a short taxi.

I removed the prop spinner and painted it silver as well. While it was off I went ahead and safetied the front spinner bolts.

Next will be to rivet the oil door and repaint that area with silver.
