Back on the final punch list.... - 5.0 hrs

Ok last week I finished the landing light on the right wing which completed the wings except for the wingtips. I will do those when the wings are on later with the help of Jim K! Today was HOT. 99 in the hangar with fans on and back door open.

I installed a new blade on the bandsaw and cut out a bracket for the fuel flow RED CUBE as everyone calls it. I am using the Brantel of VAF method. After I completed the bracket I temp installed it to allow a good measurement for new hoses. Got those ordered from PHT aircraft hoses in Oklahoma. Should be here by weekend.

Next I started drilling the gear legs to install the hinges. Being careful to maintain the aerodynamic airfoil. Remember way back I got one complete only to find out it had a twist in it. These came out great. Still need to mix up some resin and squeeze the rivets.

The area between the taxi way and my hangar exit is loose gravel so I swept up all the loose gravel and used an asphalt sealer to lock things in place. Came out pretty good. Still need a bit more to complete the right edge as I ran out. Another bucket and a bag of asphalt repair and all the holes should be filled in so Jim can move to Weiser. Then I will have a helper! :) Right Jim.

Now it was just too hot. I drank 6 waters and was still about to pass out so I headed for the house and POOL. Also added the Trutrack retainer bracket to the autopilot servo. Came out nice but I need just a tad longer bolt as the bracket thickness takes up all the threads. Remember the 2 exposed thread rule on all bolts past the nut.
