More Windscreen Work...... - 2.0 hrs


After Jim helped me the other day we had just drilled the holes in the rear canopy fairing. Today I removed the clecos one at a time and tapped the canopy frame for #8 flush screws. Looks like this is going to work.

The plan now is to fill in the doghouse area with an epoxy mix of micro and cotton flox for strength. Next I will build up the top with some cloth and then smooth it all out with micro mixture. Once all sanded down I hope to to look good.

Last I drilled 2 holes in the center cross bar bow of the rear canopy and installed a handle to assist in opening the canopy. The handle is sleek and should be aerodynamic.
