More on Elevator Tips.... - 4.0 hrs
Got the hangar and the tips were cured. Even in this cold. I peeled the thick paper off and it was a nice thick layup. I went slow on the belt sander to not remove too much and went slow. Next I used a piece of 80 grit sand paper on the table to ease it into shape.
Next I went to 150 grit and then progressed up to smooth it out nice. The first one came out great. Then I moved to the other side. When I got the left side done it came out great but as I sanded the piece all over to prepare for primer there was a blemish on the upper corner. When the blemish was removed it was a hole.
It was small but would require filling. I mixed up a batch of superfil. I had to heat it up on the heater just to get it where I could mix it up. I filled the hole and then went back to the other side.
Next I shot a coat of primer. A few small pinholes showed up but with some primer and sanding in between coats I think I can get it there. Just need some warmer weather!

needed to certify my aircraft. My experiences and comments are by no means to be
considered as instructions on how to build any aircraft.
