Nose Gear Fairing.... - 7.0 hrs

Started instrument ground school last month and have been going one day a week. Today when I got to the hangar look what was parked out front. A 182RG. This will be a great instrument platform and will get you a complex rating.

I got a whiteboard installed last week and started listing small projects to focus on. Today I was going to continue on with baffles and nose gear fairing. First I needed to tighten up the bottom nut and measure the breakout force but I need to get a spring scale.

First I fit the nose gear fairing and worked on getting it to fit correctly like I did the main gear. Once that was done I drilled the 6 screw holes spacing around the lip and marked the wheel hole. Next I used the dremmel tool and then dressed up the edge. Still a bit tight but I need to get the brackets installd first. Next I drilled the brackets for the plate nuts.

Reinstalled the upper cowl and remarked the back edge baffles and the left side. The other areas seem to fit fine.
