Preping for Inspection...... - 2.0 hrs

Working on the final prep stuff for the inspection.

Installed the lock I bought to lock the canopy. There are various types. This one slides over the track and you drill a small #30 hole for a pin to screw into. Came with a small Master combo lock. Works like a champ.

Just found out the data plate has to be on the plane for inspection. It only needs 3 pieces of info. Builder Name, Model No., and Serial No. However these have to match the paper work exactly. Even name order.... So Luckily I had purchased the EAA package way back and it came with a data plate. Now where to get engraved. I did a google search and the only place I could find that could do it quickly was Things Remembered. Took it in and they had it done in an hour.

Next I removed the front nose gear fairing. Using labled cups for the hardware and will put the cups in a box. Replacing all the screws with stainless. Caught the sun going down over Kerby's hangar. Cool shot.
