Wheel Pants.... - 2.0 hrs
More work on the wheel pants today. First I removed some of the fiberglass at the top seam area of front dome. This is to get the top edge to sit more even to minmize the amount of filling.
Next I placed 1 inch piece of pipe on top of the right tire to create the spacing above the tire. I set the top edge of the wheelpant on this and slid it until the inside edge contacted the grear leg. I marked the top and bottom area for clearance.
Next I marked a square area to remove some glass to allow the pant to slide on past the gear leg. This area ended up being about a 3 x 4 inch rectangle. I used a unibit to drill holes in the corners and dremeled out the piece and sanded smooth.
Trial fit and it looks like it will work.
This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements
needed to certify my aircraft. My experiences and comments are by no means to be
considered as instructions on how to build any aircraft.
