Cleaned out the Hangar and Riveted the top Skin...... - 10.0 hrs

Today my sweetie came down to the hangar and helped me cleanup. First we removed the plane and then swept everything out. The last few months of building and fabricating have takin its toll. That and not having power except by generator has sucked.

Anyway while the plane was out I decided to do a quick engine start and taxi. Fired right up and ran good.

Then it was time to rivet on the top skin. I removed the clecos and decided I was going to try and do it from the center out. I could reach the center rib and then the 2 outside of that. About the time I got out the gun and bucking bar and checked rivet sizes up walks Kirby the Swift man. He volunteered to man the gun side with a little coaxing. :) Thanks again for you help Kirby.

We got down as far as we could go until I was about to close out where my hand would not fit. Then I reclecoed down the skin the rest of the way and used the squeezer on the firewall side. With it so clode to being done I used cherrymax and the air gun to do the instrument panel row since it would be too tight to get a bucking bar in there.

Last it was so close to being done I just went ahead and finished it up. Yeah no more rivets to be done. Just finish up the canopy and fiberglass work!
