More Vertical Stab Work.... - 2.0 hrs
Still Keeping the flow going. Needed to drill the bottom 2 holes in the attach plate before I removed it to rivet to the VS. So I had to remove the remote compass for the EFIS mounted in front of it. This is what caused the hold up to begin with.
Once I had the clearance I drilled the 2 bottom holes and removed the plate. Deburred and primed. While the paint was drying I started looking at what it will take to mount the empanage fairing I bought from Fairings Etc. I took some pics of Jims as he did such a great job. It will be much easier to install the nutplates now while the VS is removed. There will still be a few that I cannot do until the fairing is in place.
Next I riveted the attach plate in place. Then started drilling and installing the nutplated.
Time to head to the house. The mosquitos are getting crazy.
This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements
needed to certify my aircraft. My experiences and comments are by no means to be
considered as instructions on how to build any aircraft.
