Empennage Fairing.... - 4.0 hrs

Today started with fitting up the Emp Fairing. I cut a piece of wood the width of the fuselage even with the front of the fairing to give me a place to hole a ratchet strap in place around the forward edge of the fairing.

Before I drilled holes I wanted to make sure the fairing would fit flush. While it was strapped in place I used a heat gun to warm up the glass and made sure it was fitting properly.

Next I drilled and installed stainless screws to hole the fairing in place. Worked out well. Applied more heat and then let set until I drill the screws along the front edge. This will require some more plate nuts.

Then it was time to quit and go watch UT play oklahoma state.
