Engine Update November 2008 Updates November 27, 2008 Prop Mounting.... - 1.0 hrs Happy Turkey Day everyone! Today is Thanksgiving day and dad was in town. Wanted him to see the progress from the last time he saw the plane. So we started with a photo op of him in front of the plane. Seemed like a good time to hang the prop so I can get started on the cowl installation next. I mounted the rear spinner plate on the prop. Pulled the shipping plugs and it was ready to install. Fred and Derek helped hold it in place while I started turning the bolts. You have to turn each one a little at a time. Fred grabbed a piece of 4 x 4 to hold it in place so Derek could keep the pressure off the bolts while we screwed them down. Now it really looks like an airplane!
