Engine Update November 2008 Updates November 16, 2008 Canopy Center Strip and Handle.... - 2.0 hrs The other day I stopped on the canopy as the center strip was not laying flat in some spots. I needed to trim some of the silicone inserts shorter. So today I removed the strip and trimmed up all of the insterts and reinstalled the strip making sure it was laying flat. Next I started at the rear and worked forward riviting each hole as I went. Came our good. Last I installed the handle I picked up at Home Depot. Got this idea from Matt Burch. Actually got the chrome acorn nut idea from him also. Thank goodness for VAF huh! This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
