Fuselage May 2008 Updates May 11, 2008 More Mixture Bellcrank Work.... - 2.0 hrs More work on the bellcrank. I found a post on VAF where a guy cut it around the plug area and then welded in some metal for stiffness. I think I am going to follow that method. I can't weld but I could use JB Weld to hold the metal in place. After reviewing the situation more and looking at the pics from VAF I am going to have to go this route. Looking at the angles this is the only solution to keep the geometry the same. I am going to sleep on this one more day before I start grinding on this bracket. The part is $100 bucks so going to go slowly. This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
