Cowl Work.... - 1.0 hrs
Got to the airport for just a few hours. I received the new camlocks from Milspec replacing the old style. These are much nicer. A big thanks to Jeremy at Milspec for putting the rush on these and making the swap. Hats off to another great RV vendor.
After looking them over and trying to figure out where I left off on the cowl last time I decided to drill out the bottom holes for the grommets. After doing so I removed the top and bottom cowl and noticed I had never drilled out the rivet holes that hold the cam mechanism in place. Just the #30 hole in the center. No problem since there are 2 templates. I can just use the one with the big hole and wingit.
Anyway I ran out of time so I will try it again tomorrow.
This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements
needed to certify my aircraft. My experiences and comments are by no means to be
considered as instructions on how to build any aircraft.
