Fab Work.... - 1.0 hrs

Got to the hangar right after work. I used a sanding disk on the diegrinder to smooth out the smooth fil I put on last night. I sands so easy you could do it by hand. It would take some time but for a finish part it might be better.

After I got the rough peaks knocked down I went around the edges by hand to see how it would feather out. Overall it came out pretty good. I am not going to go overboard with this piece since its under the cowl but at least I can tell how it would finish up.

Next I installed the cover plate. There is a push pull cable that will be installed with a screw and when you pull the handle inside the cock pit the plate will open and allow air to come from inside the cowl area. This will only be used in an emergency if you took something thru the prop that plugged the inlet thru the baffle floor where the air filter is.
