Engine Update June 2009 Updates June 09, 2009 Fab Work.... - 1.0 hrs Tonight I used a sanding disk on the diegrinder to smooth out the hardened flox mixture. Now I got the shape but its looking a bit like the surface of the moon. Now this all gets hidden under the cowl so I could leave it like this and no biggy right. Well I figure its a good place o get some practice on some other fill methods. So I mixed up a batch of Smoothfil. Looks like cake batter huh. I almost wanted to eat some. Anyway I smoothed it all over and tomorrow I will sand it smooth. This stuff works really well and sands easy so you have to go slow so as not to eat it all off. This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
