Fab Work.... - 2.0 hrs

Today is FAB Alternate air work. First I used the intlet plate to mark the position of the hole per the plans. Next I borrowed Garys big ass drill since my 3/8 drive was too small. Drilled the hole with a hole saw and smoothed out the edges.

Next I countersunk the cover plate and dimpled the right to prepare for the pulled rivets. Installed the nut plate and enlarged the bottom hole to accomodate the back of the nutplate once the ring was installed.

Installed the rivets and polished up the surface to make the cover plate open and close smoothly. Next I mixed up a batch of epoxy and flox really think so it would not run and spackled in around the edges. Should look nice once it sets up and I sand it all smooth.
