Canopy Frame Work.... - 2.0 hrs

Today I primed and prepped the canopy handle. All of the frame pieces and canopy latch will be black. I painted the handle safety red. Looks really cool.

Next I fit the side skins again. The canopy frame is not totally level to the canopy deck. It actually drops towards the rear. If I drill the side skins exactly per the plans the holes would not align down the center of the square tube on the canopy frame.

With everything square on the front I have marked the side skin. Next I marked the starting point on the bottom edge of the side skin and the 2 points 8 and some odd inches back to mark the cut that allows the frame to clear the canopy decks.

I have looked at alot of these and I think my method will work fine. Time to cut the canopy this weekend. YOOHOO!
