Fuselage July 2008 Updates July 27, 2008 Canopy Frame Work.... - 2.0 hrs Today I removed the canopy frame to work on the rear slider frame hold down blocks. I used the belt sander and grinder to shape and round off the corners. Next I primed and painted them black to match the rails and canopy frame. I picked up a couple of pins like Jon suggested for keeping the canopy from sliding back to the removal area I cut in the track rail. I drilled quarter inch holes for these and installed. One thing I will have to check is how will these pins be removed when you the inside frame pieces are installed. Last I bolted down the painted blocks for good and tried out the frame. Had to redrill the insertion points again as it is too tight. This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
